A Day of MUCH NEEDED Rest!

Today I finally have a day to catch up on some personal things. Although they are not the most exciting things (laundry, dishes, cleaning house, etc.), they still needed my attention.
The last few monthes have been extremely hectic. This weeks weather has not helped matters. I have been praying for those that have been affected by the storms. I hope that they are able to pick up the pieces and move on, without too much heartache.
So I will clean my house today without much complaining, and thank God that I still have one to clean! Don't get me wrong I will still be longing for that day of MUCH NEEDED Rest, the entire time;)!!

Busy Bees!!

I haven't had a chance to slow down in so long. I am sorry, that this is such a boring blog. If I kept you up to date on all that goes on in my crazy day to day doings, I think it would be overly stimulating. I know that it can be for me!! I have been photographing many new and exciting clients. Trying to work on the studio as much a possible. I have also been running back and forth from soccer games and track meets. I am so ready for summer break! I need to catch my breath. Don't get me wrong I am loving being so busy, but I am also ready to get in the studio. I have some newborn pics coming up and hope to be in there by then. Well I hope that you were able to catch your breath while reading this post. I will post some progress pics soon of the studio.

New Year New Beginnings!

What a boring blogger I am! To my defense, I have been busy. With senior announcements, a few senior shoots, being a mother and wife, and last but certainly not least---Ironing out details about my new STUDIO! I am so excited and scared! It is really crazy to feel all of the emotions at once! I like it!
I am so excited about what I will be able to offer you. I think of stuff several times a day. My husband will tell you, because I call him every time I think of something new.
I will be posting some pics as the process goes along. It will be a long one, it needs a lot of TLC!!

Valentine Cards For The Kids!

My girls and I decided to do something different for Valentine's Day this year. We were walking down the Valentine isle at the local discount store (no need to do any unnecessary advertising), and my girls were commenting on how the cards were the same as they were every year. We wanted to do something different and special, so this year we took their picture and put them on to this small cards. The long one is a book mark that folds in half, and the others are this size and feel of business cards, which is fun for my oldest daughter. Parents this is something to keep in mind for next year. I am starting to lay out my marketing a year in advance, next year I will be doing some fun, short valentines sessions at the beginning of January. I will send out and post more info when that time comes, which unfortunately will be here all too soon.

Winter Wonderland

This photo was taken after the latest wintry, snow storm, Mother Nature left behind. I hope that you all kept warm and safe. We hunkered down, with blankets, movies, and plenty of good things to eat. Thankfully we didn't lose power, like we did during the '08 ice storm. I hope that everyone was as lucky as us, if not I hope that you are lucky enough to have your electricity back on!
After the busy week that I had last week, I welcomed the rest. This has given me the opportunity to try out what I learned during the workshop I attended on Monday, and the seminar I attended on Wednesday. I had a blast, and learned a lot that I will pass on to you in the form of better images. My promise to you is to keep up to date on the latest trends, to offer you and your family timeless portraits.
I will try to keep posting regularly to keep everyone up to date on latest portrait offerings, and any other ramblings that I feel the need to share.
